Waserstein

A young woman with long, wavy brown hair smiling at the camera, wearing an orange halter top, with an orange textured background, torn paper edges, a paper flower, and a striped paper tape element.

Yael Berezdivin Waserstein is an artist from Puerto Rico with a B.A. in History from Brown University. With the eye of a researcher, she approaches her creative practice as a form of storytelling: translating lived experience into a visual form. Her work exists in multiple mediums, including book-making, clay, graphic design, and painting. Drawn to the tactile, Yael values the presence of physical objects as vessels of beauty, memory, and comfort.
